Hozomon Gate

It was my first day exploring Tokyo, Japan. I had stayed at a hotel in the Asakusa area, and it was a 5-minute walk to the Sensō-Ji temple. When shooting around, the details of the outer gate of the temple stood out to me. The double-layered rooftop shape and detail in the tiles was visually appealing. I had already pictured a shot with the rooftop in my head in black and white. For this photo, I wanted it to be mostly white, and just enough of the rooftop to be able to appreciate its shape and design.
